1 Benefit Solutions grew out of Logical Planning Solutions in 2004 with a focus on helping employers navigate employee benefits with more clarity and ongoing support. As the business evolved from Central PA Benefit Solutions into 1 Benefit Solutions, the goal remained consistent: provide employers with responsive service that goes beyond simply placing insurance plans. Many businesses struggled to find an agency that could stay involved with enrollments, claims, compliance questions, billing issues, and employee communication after renewal season ended, especially without getting passed between large departments. Today, the company continues to operate as a highly responsive family-run agency built around direct access, practical guidance, and reliable support for employers across State College, Central Pennsylvania, and statewide Pennsylvania.

Damian Mochan
Managing Partner
Damian started Logical Planning Solutions inc. in 2005 to help companies control their rising benefit costs while providing employers with a very high service level of consulting.
In 2015, Logical Planning Solutions partnered to form Central Pennsylvania Benefits Solutions LLC. Today, the firm proudly operates as 1 Benefit Solutions, continuing its commitment to trusted guidance, innovative solutions, and exceptional client service for employers throughout Pennsylvania.
1 Benefit Solutions partners with employers to focus on controlling health care cost, though claim analytics. The information is used to create custom plan designs to meet employee needs.

Damian is a former president of the PA Association of Health Underwriters, and Damian received the emerging leader award from the National Association of Health Underwriters for his work in Washington D.C. trying to change the course of what is now the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Damian travels to Washington, D.C., and Harrisburg each year to meet with legislators and discuss how proposed laws and regulatory reforms affect Pennsylvania businesses, their employees, and the employee benefits industry.

As Managing Partner, Tammy brings more than 18 years of experience in office management, client service, and operations.
She oversees the day-to-day management of 1 Benefit Solutions, ensuring the team, clients, and carrier partners work together efficiently to deliver exceptional service and timely solutions.
With a deep understanding of the employee benefits industry, Tammy is often the driving force behind resolving complex challenges. Tammy has a unique ability to anticipate needs, bring the right people together, and keep every moving part on track. She leads projects, coordinates internal resources, and resolves carrier claims and billing issues with efficiency and a solutions-focused approach.

Sophia Mochan
Strategic Solutions Coordinator
Since joining 1 Benefit Solutions in 2023, Sophia has become an integral part of the firm's technology and client engagement initiatives.
As Strategic Solutions Coordinator, she manages the firm's online enrollment platforms, oversees renewal coordination, and leads the company's marketing efforts. Working closely with clients, carrier partners, and internal teams, Sophia helps ensure each renewal is efficient and organized while maximizing the value of benefits technology.
Whether developing marketing materials, coordinating enrollment timelines, or enhancing the client experience, she is committed to delivering thoughtful solutions and exceptional service.

Outside the office, Sophia enjoys spending time on the golf course, where the same focus and attention to detail she brings to her work have helped make her an accomplished golfer. Making her a valuable asset during golf outings with the 1 Benefit Solutions team.
