6055 and 6056 reporting requirements
Employers now have the responsibility of reporting coverage for employees covered under the employer-sponsored health insurance plan. Forms 1094-B and 1095-B are the forms required and employers may have to pay penalties if they don’t completely and accurately report to the IRS about the health coverage they provided in the prior year. Although there is short-term relief from penalties in 2015, providers will need to make a good-faith effort to comply in order to avoid penalties. We can help you keep track of all the information you need to report in order to make a good-faith effort.
